The Seven Essential Life Skills Introduction

Discover the seven essential life skills every child needs to succeed! 

Following the work of Ellen Galinsky and her book Mind in the Making we will meet for this 2 hour introduction training. Learn why executive functioning maters and learn about the seven module course designed by the Families and Work Institute. These seven modules will outline the 7 essential life skills every child needs and how to create developmentally appropriate games and activities that promote executive functioning of the brain. This course is oriented towards adults who work with children ages 2-12. We will cover a broad spectrum of ages and developmental phases/abilities. We will also work with multiple aspects of adult learning and look at our own executive functioning skills as teachers and parents.

The price of this workshop is $20 

I am committed to ensuring that finances are never a reason someone does not access the training they need and want. This workshop is being offered at a sliding scale with three suggested levels:

* This training is registered through Northern Lights at the Community College of Vermont. All early educators and afterschool professionals in VT will receive Professional development credit.
